Cameras catch gazebo vandal in Watsontown

Watsontown Police said surveillance footage helped them identify a suspect wanted in connection with a series of vandalism incidents at the gazebo in Eighth Street Park over the summer.

This damage occurred several times during the course of the summer and included numerous wood spindles broken, a bench damaged, a railing damage.  Police viewed surveillance camera of the area and identified several people of interest. 

After a series of interviews, police identified18-year-old Scotty R. Fidler, of Blue Ball Road, Watsontown, with criminal mischief for damaging/vandalizing a gazebo at the 8th Street park in Watsontown.  This damage occurred several times during the course of the summer and included numerous wood spindles broken, a bench damaged, a railing damage. 

Damage is valued at $1,685.  Fidler is charged with one count of criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
