WATSONTOWN -- At a recent Watsontown Lions Club meeting held at the Watson Inn, Taylor L. Landis was honored as Warrior Run High School Student of the Month for January. Taylor is a member of the National Honor Society, student council, Tri-Hi-Y, Spanish Club, the honor roll, and the yearbook staff. She participates in track & field, and is captain of the Lady Defender soccer team. She has obtained many awards in various soccer championships, and is a senior class representative in the 2012 homecoming court. She was named MVP of the Year by the Press Enterprise, and the Standard Journal named her soccer player of the year. In addition to many soccer honors, she is also a district qualifier in the 100 hurdles in track & field. After graduation she plans to attend Lebanon Valley College, or Mansfield University, and major in biology. Lion president, Sharon Cawley, presented Taylor with a Student of the Month certificate, a Lion paperweight and a cash award.
