Southern Columbia runs past South Williamsport

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT —

Southern Columbia scored 28 points in the second quarter Friday night, pulling away from South Williamsport for a 42-21 Heartland Athletic Conference Division III win.

Adam Feudale led the Tigers' ground game with 106 yards and a score on just nine carries while Matt Lupold had 86 and a touchdown. Nate Hunter rushed for 66 yards and scored twice.

The Tigers combined for 331 rushing yards on 36 carries and four times found the end zone on the ground.
 
South Williamsport could do little to slow down the Tigers' offense. Southern Columbia opened the game with five straight possessions for scores with drives lasting 78, 83, 64, 65 and 74 yards. Southern Columbia also went 4 for 6 on third-down conversions, keeping drives going when South Williamsport forced a crucial stop.
Offensively, Southern Columbia had 432 total yards of offense.
