SUNBURY — The Indians Hills 4-H Club will host a recruitment night from 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 19 at the Sunbury Penn State Extension Office, 443 Plum Creek Road, Sunbury. The Indians Hills 4-H Club is seeking members and adult volunteers to join their club. This 4-H Club has been in existence for many years and wants to get more youth and adults involved. Project leaders, teen members and 4-H staff will be on hand to answer questions and will have samples of project books and completed project examples. Light refreshments will be provided.
The Indian Hills 4-H Club offers adult leadership in projects such as air pistol, basketry, sewing, foods and nutrition and gardening, to name a few of the more than 175 project opportunities. 4-H Clubs are open to all boys and girls age 8-18 (5-7 year olds are also welcome but have limits on the projects they can take). Once enrolled in a 4-H club, 4-H members have a wide variety of opportunities to attend fun and exciting events at the county, district, and state levels. There is a $10 per member fee to help defray the cost of educational materials that members receive for their projects.
People interested in becoming a 4-H member or leader are also welcome to attend the Snyder, Union, Northumberland (SUN) Area 4-H Kick-Off Party from 6:30 to 9 p.m. March 12 at the Sunset Skating Rink in Shamokin Dam. Information will be available at this event, too.

Little hands making big heads
