NORTHUMBERLAND — Re-Creation, the full performance singing and dancing group from Port Trevorton, presented the program “Christmas Gold” at Nottingham Village in Northumberland on Dec. 11. Re-Creation presents entertainment by 10 young performers who offer dynamic vocal renditions of America’s best-loved songs and enliven the stage with intricate, disciplined dance and choreography.
The music of Re-Creation is for audiences of all ages. Style, mood, rhythm, and beat are tailored for each performance and are presented with a remarkable blend of voices, glittering costumes, and an incredible sound reinforcement system.
This year’s program “Christmas Gold,” presented at Nottingham Village, combined traditional hymns, new classics, and original music, written by Jay and Mary Muller, to offer a musical bounty. Audience sing-a-longs, treasured carols, and a vibrant re-telling of the true meaning of Christmas were all wrapped in a reverent, worshipful musical gift. As a thank you for this program and the many wonderful programs that Re-Creation has provided at Nottingham Village, a donation from Nottingham Village staff members was presented to the group.
