Among my special achievements and awards: Pennsylvania Music Educators Association district, regional and all-state chorus; National Association for Music Education All-Eastern Honors Chorus
How I have given back to the community: I raised $1,046 for charity: water (a nonprofit organization that builds wells for people in other countries without clean water) by pledging all my birthday money. My money went to help the people of Rwanda. I sing in the community with the high school choir.
My plans upon graduation: Attend Penn State University or University of California at Los Angeles, continue to medical school (possibly in California), then join the Navy Medical Corps. Would like to live overseas.
Why I was selected as a Young American: Academic standing, leadership qualities, kindness, diligence
What you should know about me: I love to travel. I’ve been to New Zealand, Australia, the Canadian Rockies and nearly 45 states. I also play guitar, and soprano, alto and tenor saxophone.
