Mifflinburg Area Intermediate School Students of the Month for February

The Daily Item

The Mifflinburg Area Intermediate School announces its selections for The Lion Cub Award for Student of the Month for February. Teachers select students who are respectful, hard-working and positive leaders in their classrooms. At the awards assembly at the end of the school year, each recipient will receive a certificate, cash prize, and Lions Club memento from the Millmont West Union Area Lions Club, the sponsor of the Student of the Month award.

Gabe Stetler, third grade, is the son of Clint and Kristen Stetler, of Mifflinburg. In school, his favorite class is math, and he is a member of the school chorus. He enjoys playing football, wrestling, and baseball. He also enjoys basketball. Gabe likes to ride bike and spend time with his friends. In the future he would like to be a policeman.

Madison Zimmerman, fourth grade, is the daughter of Nicole and Lee Zimmerman, of New Berlin. Math is her favorite class in school. She enjoys gymnastics and swimming. Madison likes to read, play outside with friends, and play on her ipad. In the future she would like to be a gymnastics coach.

Cara Snook, fifth grade, is the daughter of Tiffany and Michael Snook, of Mifflinburg. In school, reading is her favorite subject, and she plays saxophone in the band and sings in the chorus. Soccer is her favorite sport and she also likes swimming. Cara enjoys reading, and riding bike. In the future, she would like to be a doctor or a nurse.
