LEWISBURG — In the Victorian Era, flowers were a means of communication, sending messages of passion, friendship, longing or reproach. Different flowers represented different sentiments in their arrangement. On March 11, Julianna Cooper, co-president of the Lewisburg Garden Club, will demonstrate how to improve and enliven your communications skills using the “language of flowers.” She will discuss the literary origins of the language, while showing how to assemble a variety of bouquets.
This Lewisburg Garden Club presentation, which begins at 1:15 p.m., will be held in the fellowship hall at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1050 Buffalo Road, Lewisburg.
