MONTANDON — At a recent meeting of the Montandon Community Days Committee, $500 was given to the Montandon Girl Scout Troop and the Boy Scout troop. The monies given will be used by the troops to help the members with various activities and purchase equipment.
The Baptist Church will be on the 2013 crock since it is the older of the two churches in town — the Methodist Church will be 2015. The canal is planned for 2014.
Top shelf is procured already and a new game is in the works for Thursday evening game night. A Chinese auction is again planned and food and craft vendors will be invited to attend the Saturday all day event.
The Community Days is held the weekend prior to Memorial Day ending with a parade on Sunday.
The next meeting of MCD committee will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Baptist Church. Anyone interested in being a part of this community event is urged to attend.
