LEWISBURG -- On Dec. 10, Lewisburg American Legion Post 182 Commander Richard Chalmers presented a check for $1,500 to the Pennsylvania State Veterans Home in Hollidaysburg. Accepting the check was the commandant of the facilities, Deborah A. Nesbella. The Pennsylvania State Veterans Homes, located throughout the state, provide skilled nursing care, personal care and domiciliary care to Honorably Discharged Pennsylvania Veterans and their spouses. The donation will be used to provide activities for the residents such as outside trips and in-house social activities.
