FREEBURG -- On Feb. 25, Chester Bingaman, of Freeburg, was honored by his fellow members of the Freeburg Volunteer Fire Company for his 50 years of dedicated service to the residents of Freeburg Borough, Washington Township and surrounding communities. Chester also helps at many of the fire company fund raisers. At present, Chester serves his fellow firefighters as company chaplain, a position he has held for many years.
