LEWISBURG — The Union County chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR) is again going to issue two $200 grants, one each, to an employee or group of employees in the Lewisburg and Mifflinburg school districts. Any district employee may apply, keeping in mind the criteria as it relates to curriculum, classroom management, classroom organization, or school environment.
Some examples of grant winners in the past include buying books to enhance classroom libraries, providing incentives needed to implement a middle school bullying program, a mobility scooter in a multi-disciplinary classroom, and purchasing a computer program to assist with speech and language development.
Applications can be obtained from all Lewisburg and Mifflinburg school district school offices and are due Jan. 25.
