NEW BERLIN -- Community service is a big part of SUN Area Technical Institute education. This year the health professions class 201, replenished and sterilized equipment for the Milton district Girl Scouts first aid kit. The kit is used for varies troop and district events. SUN Area Technical Institute students used their newly acquired skills for disinfecting and sterilizing infection control to complete the kit. Students learned how to sterilize equipment and objects that may be used in various health care settings like in emergency rooms, surgery and doctor offices. Elisabeth Buckles, Shikellamy and Virginia Johnson, Mifflinburg are shown sterilizing equipment.
