LECK KILL — The first grade class at Leck Kill Elementary (Line Mountain School District) celebrated the 100th day of school by designing something that took exactly 100 to make it. After their projects were displayed for all to enjoy, parents and grandparents were invited in to their classroom to listen to the children talk about their projects following by a cookie and punch social.
Projects included: Carolyn Adams collected 100 cans of food from family and friends and then presented the food to Chuck Schrawder of the Line Mountain Food Bank; Queenlyn Zartman collected 100 pennies, 100 nickels, 100 dimes and 100 quarters for a total of $41. The money was donated to Lifeline Pregnancy Care Center in Millersburg; Maradyth Miller, 100 stick cabin; Gracie Moore, 100 stick jewelry box; Libby Moore, 100 stick special box; Evan Swinehart, 100 years of cars; Kylie Troutman, 100 stickers/pictures of my favorite things; Brady Buriak, 100 piece tootsie roll race track; Soren Derck, 100 car stickers race track; Chloe Masser, 100 snowflakes diorama; Samantha Conrad, 100 stick glitter log cabin; Lilianna Herb, 100 pipe cleaner smiley face; Ashley Strohecker, number 100 made from 100 legos; Casey Keiter, 100 legos excavator; Kiera Leitzel, 100 snowflakes album one for each member of our school; Morgan Snyder, 100 using different kinds of money; Brianna Bingaman, 100 marshmallow snowman, and Sierra Klinger, a panda bear head made with 100 deeds.
