MIFFLINBURG -- Members of Senior Girl Scout Troop 61098 of Mifflinburg recently decorated the walls at Herr Memorial Library with snowflakes that were decorated at a recent cookie rally hosted by the local Girl Scouts Service Unit. The snowflakes were to be sent to Newtown, Conn. as part of the “Snowflakes for Sandy Hook” project; however, according the project’s Facebook page, they have received so many donations, they can no longer accept anymore. It was suggested on the site to hang the snowflakes locally to show support for the Newtown community.
