SHAMOKIN — The Northumberland County Council for the Arts Gallery in Shamokin is calling for entries for their annual Coal Region Heritage Invitational Art Exhibit. All types of artwork with a coal region theme are being accepted including paintings, traditional and digital photography, mixed media and 3-dimensional works.
All work must be framed and ready for hanging. Sculpture or 3-d work must be able to free stand on a table or pedestal.
Entry is limited to three pieces per artist. There is no entry fee. Work will be displayed beginning with an opening reception April 26 continuing through the Anthracite Heritage Festival of the Arts Memorial Day weekend. Artists are invited to attend the reception and bring friends and family. Deadline for entry forms is April 12.
