MILLERSBURG -- The faculty of the Millersburg Area High School has named Hayley Daub and Kelsey Dorman as Students of the Month for November. These students are selected because they exemplify outstanding qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism in their school, home and community. This program is sponsored by the Millersburg Rotary Club.
Daub is the daughter of Dr. Barry Daub and Romaine Daub, of Millersburg. Daub is a member of the band, jazz band, district band, choir, county band, county chorus, volleyball team, SADD, student council, environmental club, HEROES, and conservation club. She was selected for NHS president, class president, Camp Hebron counselor, drum major for the band, and student council president. She was also selected as the HOBY Ambassador for Millersburg. Upon graduation, she plans to attend a four year college to major in music education.
Dorman is the son of Cheryl and Craig Dorman, of Millersburg. Dorman is a member of the boys’ soccer team, ski club, SADD, conservation club, careers in health club, track team and National Honor Society. He was selected for historian of his class and then vice president of the class of 2013 and is vice president for the National Honor Society. He swims for NDCY and has been a YMCA district qualifier and YMCA state qualifier for four years. He was a district medalist in the 100 breast stroke and district qualifier in the 100 butterfly. Upon graduation he plans to attend Misericordia University to major in physical therapy.
