Millersburg Area High School Students of the Month for December

The Daily Item

MILLERSBURG -- The faculty of the Millersburg Area High School has named Katelynn Cover and Elijah Shepley as Students of the Month for December. These students are selected because they exemplify outstanding qualities of dependability, service, service leadership, and patriotism in their school, home and community. This program is sponsored by the Millersburg Rotary Club.

Cover is the daughter of Kerri and John Cover, of Millersburg. She is a member of the girls soccer team, HEROES, conservation club, chorus, county chorus, Careers in Health Club, SADD, ski club, and participated with the Millersburg Swim Team and track team. She was selected as a Camp Hebron Counselor and participates with the high school musicals. Upon graduation she plans to attend a four year college majoring in psychology.

Shepley is the son of Evelyn and Vincent Shepley, of Millersburg. He is a member of the boys soccer team, marching band, jazz band, concert band, chorus, county chorus, conservation club, archery club, National Honor Society, SADD, and was selected as a Camp Hebron Counselor. He participates with the high school musicals and was selected for the homecoming court as an escort. He maintains distinguished honor roll status. In the community he is a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church. Upon graduation he plans to attend Penn State University majoring in mechanical engineering.
