MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS — The Backyard Bunnies 4-H Club has been doing a lot lately. They have been entering in some shows like the Harrisburg Farm Show and have had good results. Winners include: Youth Single Fryer, Colette Hoffman, first place; Youth Californian, first and best of opposite sex of breed, Abagail Stroup; Intermediate Buck and Intermediate Doe, Andrew Reigle, second place in both events; Jr. Buck, HannahJoy Stroup, second place, and Jr. Doe, Colette Hoffman, second place.
Also, Youth English Spot first, Best of Breed and Best of Variety, Joshua Stroup; Youth New Zealand, Red, Abagail Stroup, first place; Broken, Joshua Stroup, first place, and Black, HannahJoy Stroup, second place; Youth Polish, Best of Breed and Best of Variety Black, Alexis Kline, first place; and Buck and Best of Variety Blue, Jacob Weist, first place.
The Backyard Bunnies 4-H Club meets the second Thursday of every month at the Fremont Fire Company social hall. Members participate in events focused on rabbits. They also have ice skating, a Jackpot Show in May, and show their rabbits at the Beaver Fair. April is the deadline for club membership for 2013.
