MIDDLEBURG -- Midd-West Middle School recognizes two students each month (one from each grade) for their outstanding achievement in the classroom and their leadership qualities. The sixth grade recipient of the Student of the Month award for December is Reagan Hornberger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Hornberger, of Mount Pleasant Mills. The December Student of the Month for sevebth grade is Cole Sauer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Sauer, of Middleburg.
Isaiah Knepp, sixth grade, and Reed Sherman, seventh grade, are the Perfect Attendance Award recipients for December. Isaiah is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Knepp, of Middleburg. Reed is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chad Sherman, of Beaver Springs.
There are four Mustang PRIDE Award winners selected each month. For the month of December, Alexis Edkin and Savanna Hause are the sixth grade recipients. Alexis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Herman, of Middleburg. Savanna is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Hause, of Middleburg. Erikah Sassaman and Owen Storm are the seventh grades recipients. Erikah is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Sassaman, of Middleburg. Owen is the son of Joseph Storm and Norah Zook, of Beaver Springs. Students who are recognized for positive contributions to the middle school are individually rewarded with a Mustang Medallion and are eligible for the end of the month drawing.
