Lester A. Hummel, 54, Sunbury

SUNBURY -- Lester Allen Hummel, 54, of Sunbury, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Golden Living Center/Mansion, Sunbury.

He was born Aug. 23, 1955, in Sunbury, a son of the late Theodore C. and Nancy (Treon) Hummel. On July 15, 1978, he married the former Shirley Louise Hauck, who survives.

Lester was a 1975 graduate of Shikellamy High School and served in the National Guards.

He was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the Keystone Hunting Club.

Lester enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting guns.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one stepson, Anthony Ray Hauck of Selinsgrove; three step-grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Jared and Ian Spenser Hauck; one brother, Terry L. Hummel of Sunbury; and one nephew, Jared Martz.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Martz and Michael A. Hummel.

Lester was cremated and there will be no visitation or service. A private burial will occur at a later date in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lester's memory to Keystone Sportsman's Club, Sunbury, PA 17801.

Arrangements by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury.
