LEWISBURG -- Sherri Bitler-Dombroskie, 60, of 27 Baylor Blvd., entered into eternal rest at 1:10 p.m. Nov. 19, 2009, at her home after a lengthy illness. She resided in Lewisburg most of her life.

Sherri was born Feb. 13, 1949, in Scranton, a daughter of Walter and Ruth (Campbell) Noone, of Lewisburg, who survive. She was married Sept. 8, 1992, to Daniel Dombroskie, who survives.

A graduate of Lewisburg High School, Sherri attended Lock Haven University. She retired as a caseworker from the Union County Public Assistance Office after 34 1/2 years of service.

A devout Catholic, she was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Lewisburg. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, youth choir director and was a member of the adult choir and folk group. She taught CCD and was very active in prison ministry for more than 20 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Randall and Nadine Noone of Lewisburg, and Robbie and Sherry Noone of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; one brother, Patrick Noone of Lake Norman, N.C.; nieces; and nephews.

Sherri was preceded in death by her son, Donny Bitler III.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg, with the Rosary being led by the Knights of Columbus at 7:30.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church, 41 S. Eighth St., Lewisburg, with Msgr. Rev. William M. Richardson as celebrant.

She will be laid to rest in the Lewisburg Cemetery.

A dinner and celebration of Sherri's life will be held at the Country Cupboard Restaurant, Hafer Road, Lewisburg, immediately following the graveside services.
