APPLE VALLEY, Calif. -- James Donald Eiswert, 85, passed away on April 1, 2009 in Apple Valley, due to ongoing health issues.

He was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Danville, Pa., to Joseph and Anna (Blosky) Eiswert.

Jim was a 1942 graduate of Danville High School, Danville, Pa., a graduate of Bucknell University, Lewisburg, and trained as a bombardier in the Army Air Corps.

Jim was branch manager of Sherwin-Williams, Market Street, Sunbury, Pa., until retirement and then relocated from Hummels Wharf, Pa., to Sebastian, Fla., and Payson, Ariz.

He attended church at St. Pius X, Selinsgrove, Pa., and St. Sebastian Church, Sebastian, Fla., and was a member of the Kiwanis in Sunbury.

Jim was an avid golfer and enjoyed swimming.

Jim is survived by his wife, Doris Mae (Swineford) of Apple Valley; six children, Beverly Eiswert-Williams, of Salem, N.J., Dr. James Eiswert, of Maryville, Mo., Dr. Diane Bailey, of Hamburg, Pa.; Dr. Joseph Eiswert, of Apple Valley, Angela Lyons, of Payson, Ariz., Crystal Eiswert, of Philadelphia.; and 10 grandchildren. His family loved him dearly and he is greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard, of Baltimore, Md. and Albert, of Chicago, and one sister, Catherine, of Brea, Calif.

Interment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Lewisburg Cemetery, Lewisburg, Pa., followed by a luncheon at Country Cupboard, Lewisburg. All are welcome to attend. Contact Crystal Eiswert at (215) 609-5973 for further information.
