NORTHUMBERLAND — Lenora E. Bloom, 86, of Northumberland, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
She was born March 2, 1927, in Englewood, Calif., a daughter of the late Leon R. Sr. and Izora M. (Yeager) Hand. She was married to Charles R. “Mick” Bloom, who preceded her in death in August 1985.
Lenora was a 1944 graduate of Sunbury High School.
She was employed as the manager of the Merit Loan Co., Lewisburg, for many years before she retired.
She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle, Sunbury.
Lenora enjoyed bingo at the Social Club on Monday nights, doing crossword puzzles, playing scrabble and working in her rose gardens. She and her husband enjoyed traveling together.
She is survived by two daughters, Naomi L. Molnar, of Northumberland, and Melanie McNabb, of Santa Maria, Calif.; 10 grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Boone, of Sunbury, and Marcella Robins, of Drumms; four brothers, Leon R. Hand Jr., of Sunbury, Robert Hand, of Northumberland, Terry L. Hand, of San Rafael, Calif., and Ronald E. Hand, of Bethel Park; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 11 to noon Friday at Calvary Tabernacle, Packer Island, Sunbury, followed by the funeral at noon with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
