Donna M. Wray, 81, Beavertown

BEAVERTOWN — Donna Mae (Goss) Wray, 81, of 1721 Quarry Road, Beavertown, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, Feb. 21, 2013, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born Jan. 14, 1932, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Carl Sr. and C. Effie (Quay) Goss. On Dec. 7, 1951, she married Gerald F. Wray, who survives.

Donna had been employed at Red’s Diner, Philco-Ford, Kinney Shoe and T.W. Erdley Store and assisted with the operation of the family farm.

Donna enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, going to yard sales and spending time with family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children and their spouses, Karen and Edwin Dock, of Middleburg, Barry and Roxanne Wray, Gary and Crystal Wray, Brian and Penny Wray and Jeff and Amy Wray, all of Beavertown, and Cheryl Moyer, of Middleburg; grandchildren and their spouses, W. Eric Bobb, Briggon and Jill Bobb, Michelle, Michael, Troy, Rachel and Cody Dock, Kurt Wray, Kim and Troy Paige, Lindsay and Phil Gilbert, Barry Wray Jr., Jeremy and Serena Wray, Jennifer Wray, Justin and Jamie Wray, Adam and Lauren Wray, Sam Wray and companion Brittany Kerstetter, Nathan and Laura Wray, Shaun and Jamie Wray, Jason and Carla Wray, Natalie Demaree and Chase Fuller, Kristen Moyer and companion Shane Gessner, and Heidi Moyer and companion Tammy Walter; great-grandchildren, Kalon and Hayden Bobb, Tyler and Danielle Wray, Brooke and Jenna Paige, Colin and Claire Gilbert, Brian and Taylor Wray, Emma Wray, Ayden Wray, Devon Wray, Jackson Wray, Austin Gessner and Cierra Walter; one sister, Barb Brower, of McClure; special sister-in-law, Betty Ishler, of Alabama; her dog, Eli; and all the children who called her gram.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Goss Jr. and James Goss; two sisters, Virginia Wagner and Phyliss Aumiller; and a son-in-law, Jay Moyer.

Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Burial will be in Paxtonville Cemetery.
