RICHFIELD — Larry Allen “Gus” Knouse, 73, of Richfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at his home.
Larry was born Sept. 17, 1939, in Liverpool, a son of the late W. Roy and Elizabeth G. “Libby” (Kiser) Knouse. He was married to Cynthia “Cindy” (Soyster) Knouse, and they celebrated 20 years of marriage.
He was a graduate of Greenwood High School.
Larry retired after 35 years of service from Hempt Bros., Camp Hill, and after retirement, he was employed at the Perry-West Perry Elementary School, Mount Pleasant Mills.
He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1229, Middleburg, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the North American Hunting Club.
Larry was an avid hunter, and a fan of NASCAR and the National Football League.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Brenda Knouse, of Liverpool; two sons, Kevin Fetters and his fiancee, Rhonda Parker, of Richfield, and Marlin Fetters and his wife, Amy, of Liverpool; three grandchildren, Shelby Hollabaugh, Cody Fetters and Trishia Fetters; one great-granddaughter, Alexandria “Alex” Hockenberry; one sister, Rae Anna Haubert, of Mechanicsburg; a niece, Lisa Stoner; and a great-nephew, Jarod.
Larry was preceded by one brother, Marvin Knouse.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 606 N. Front St., Liverpool, followed by the funeral at 2 with Pastor Wayne Kerstetter officiating.
Burial will be in Liverpool Union Cemetery.
