George R. Roup, 81, Danville

The Daily Item

DANVILLE — George R. Roup, 81, of 50 Stecker Mill Road, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He  was married to the former Dorothy J. West who survives.

Friends will be received from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 20 Brookside Drive (off 642E), Danville, followed by a celebration of life at 11 with his pastor, the Rev. Dr. Harry H. Wonderland, officiating.

Burial will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville. Military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 40 Honor Guard.  

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
