WILLIAMSPORT — Nellie Wilcox, 64, of 1141 High St., died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at her home with her family by her side.
Nellie’s husband, Leonard Wilcox, currently resides at Manor Care in Williamsport.
Nellie enjoyed the casino and spending time with her daughter and family.
Born April 15th, 1948, in Milton, she was a daughter of Margaret and Tilghman Dunkle.
Surviving are two sons, Jeremy, of Williamsport, and Jerry Lee, of Williamsport; one daughter, Ann, of Williamsport; two stepdaughters, Lisa and Tammy Edminson, of Beaver Springs;one sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Ed Aikey, of Milton; one nephew, Scott; two nieces, Brenda and Barb; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
Nellie was predeceased in death by one sister, Audrey May Dunkle, who died at birth.
Two individuals are to be mentioned that have lived with and cared for Nellie through some of the hardest points of her life, they are Ernest Leonard with eight children and 21 grandchildren, and T.J. Miller with three daughters and eight grandchildren.
Nellie also had an extended family, the Ferricks family, in which she dedicated much of her time and love, to help and care for through the last 15 years of her life.
A viewing will be held from noon to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at Knight-Confer Funeral, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. There will be a service of remembrance from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Newell Town Cemetery.
