MIFFLINBURG — Dora Mabel Moll, 96, of 165 Valentine Lane, entered into rest at 2:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont, where she was a resident since October.
She was born Aug. 22, 1916, in Limestone Township, a daughter of the late Daniel Ellsworth and Emma Clara (Kuhns) Schell. In 1932, she married Elwood R. Valentine, who preceded her in death Dec. 10, 1949. In 1950, she married Henry H. Moll, who preceded her in death Feb. 22, 1987.
Dora attended Mifflinburg High School.
She was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Dora enjoyed baking, tending to her flowers and plants, playing cards, and her dog Wilma.
She will be remembered fondly by the many lives she touched. Dora was an extraordinary woman. We are all richer for having known Dora, she will be greatly missed.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas E. and Elizabeth J. Valentine, of Arizona, and Clarence E. and Linda M. Valentine, of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary E. and Henry E. Moll, of Mifflinburg; 14 grandchildren; 37 great- grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Randall E. Valentine; one daughter, Dorothy M. Ross; and one sister, Edna M. Schell.
A memorial service to celebrate Dora’s life will be announced at a later date.
