Lois J. Cromis, 64, Danville

DANVILLE — Lois J. Cromis, 64, of Broadway, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born Feb. 23, 1948, in Danville, a daughter of the late Richard W. and Dorothy (Waite) Craig.

On Sept. 23, 1982, she married Gerald “Jerry” Cromis, and they have celebrated 30 years of marriage.

Lois retired after 32 years of service from Geisinger Medical Center, working in numerous positions. Her last position was being a housekeeper.  

She attended Trinity United Church of Christ, Strawberry Ridge.

Lois enjoyed shopping with her sisters, cooking meals for her family and working in the flowerbeds at her home. She had two dogs, Dolly and Babe, that she dearly loved.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Snyder, of Dewart, Mark W. and Angelia Snyder, of Milton, and Lloyd and Christy Snyder, of Danville; three grandchildren, Breonna McGraw, and Amber and Nicholas Snyder: one stepson, Chris Cromis, of Mifflinburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Sandra Craig Jr., of Milton, and Mark and Nancy Craig, of Castaic, Calif.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joyce Craig Milheim, and Karen and Rance Milheim, all of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Shawn McNett of Trinity United Church of Christ, Strawberry Ridge, officiating.

Burial will follow in Washingtonville Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Lois’ memory be made to the Trinity United Church of Christ, 1 West Diehl Road, Danville, PA 17821.
