Oscar C. “Corky” Lawton Jr., 73, Montandon

MONTANDON — Oscar C. “Corky” Lawton Jr., 73, of Main Street, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at his home.

He was born Sept. 17, 1939, in Danville, the son of the late Oscar C. Sr. and Emma (Houseknecht) Lawton. On Oct. 10, 1958, he married the former Marsha Fisher, who survives.

Corky attended schools in Montandon.

He was employed for 34 years as a salesman and delivery driver for E.H. Kleckner, Montandon, retiring in 2001.

He was a member of Montandon United Methodist Church.

Corky enjoyed trap shooting, camping and traveling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark Lawton, of Tennessee, and Oscar Charles III and Tammy Lawton, of Winfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and William Miller, of Montandon, and Staci and Wendell Scholl, of Mifflinburg; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are under the care of the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton.
