Goldie E. Geiser, 86, Elysburg

ELYSBURG — Goldie E. Geiser, 86, of Elysburg, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2012, at the Mount Carmel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Jan. 15, 1926, in Paxinos, a daughter of the late Allison and Goldie (Roadarmel) Mutchler. She was married to Robert F. Geiser who preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 2002.

Goldie was a 1943 graduate of Ralpho Township High School.

She was a sales representative for Avon from 1952 till her retirement in 2004. She was also employed part time at Knoebel’s  Amusement Resort, Elysburg.

She was a member of the Elysburg Rebekah Lodge and the Elysburg Garden Club.

Goldie and her husband enjoyed visiting Hershey Park each year.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Cynthia Geiser, of York and Jeffrey A. Geiser, of Shamokin; six grandchildren, Amy, Mary, Maggie, Jennifer, Jeffrey and Matthew; six great-grandchildren, Morgan, Bryce, Bodie, Caylee, Baylee and Jackson; and two sisters, Lucille Billig, of Trevorton, and Mavis Kulakoski, of Elysburg.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, followed by the funeral at 11, at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.

Interment will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations in Goldie’s memory to a charity of the their choice.
