Larry L. Brubaker, 67, Sunbury

SUNBURY — Larry L. Brubaker, 67, of Sunbury, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, in Manor Care, Sunbury.

He was born in Sunbury on May 4, 1945, a son of the late C.M. and Ruth (Strausser) Brubaker. He married the former Kay M. Hopple on April 23, 1963.

Larry graduated from Trevorton High School in 1963. He formerly was employed by Sunbury Wire Rope, Montgomery Ward and Lowe’s warehouse. He also was the owner and operator of the Outdoorsman Store in Monroe Township.

Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Mid Penn Sportsmen’s Club, Kratzerville, the Keystone Fish and Game Club, Shamokin Township, and the National Rifle Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children and a spouse, Ronald E. Brubaker, of Sunbury, and Lisa and Ross Linn, of Sunbury; one grandson, Joshua Linn; and three sibliings and their spouses, Ruthanne and Thom Alberts, of Wyomissing, Mryron and Deb Brubaker, of Selinsgrove, and Byron and Robin Brubaker, of Winfield.

Larry will be cremated, and a private service will be held in the spring when his ashes are scattered at his favorite hunting spot in Potter County.

Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
