McCLURE — Grace L.S. Auman, 94, formerly of McClure, died at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Ohesson Manor Nursing Home.
She was born May 27, 1918, in McClure, a daughter of the late Walter D. and Anna M. (Beaver) Shawver. She was married to Paul S. Auman Sr. who preceded her in death on May 20, 1973.
Grace was the salutatorian of the McClure High School, Class of 1936
She was previously employed at the Beaver Shoe Company.
She was a life time member of the First United Methodist Church, McClure.
Grace enjoyed time with her family and enjoyed cooking for family and friends, especially baking pies. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches.
Grace is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Robert Waite, of Selinsgrove, and Janice and Kenneth Klingler Sr., of McClure; grandchildren, Kay Klingler, of Lewistown, Kimbra Klingler, of Burnham, Kenneth Klingler Jr. and Shawn Klingler, of McClure, Dayne Lash, of Selinsgrove, Troy Auman and Traci Goodman, of McClure; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Geraldine Brammer, of Menomonee Falls, Wis.
She was preceded in death by one son, Paul Auman, Jr.; one daugher, Beth Auman; one granddaughter, Tana Heiser; one brother, Floyd Shawver; and one sister, Pearl Auman.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in Grace’s memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
