MILTON — Georgine K. Erb, 73, of Mansion Road, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at her home.
She was born Aug. 28, 1939, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late George W. and Mary K. (Haines) Byers. She was married on April 27, 1958, to Kenneth E. Erb, who survives.
Georgine was a 1957 graduate of Montandon High School.
She was employed as a bank teller for 45 years starting at First National Bank and ending at Sovereign Bank in Milton. She continued working part-time until her illness.
She was a member of Montandon Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star, Lewisburg. Georgine enjoyed taking care of the flowers and plants around her house. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Georgine collected and recorded all of her family recipes. She was the secretary for her high school alumni association. She enjoyed vacationing at Rehoboth Beach, Del.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Julie A. Erb, of Cumming, Ga., and Dawn C. Fontanella, of Milton; one son, Kenneth E. Erb Jr., of Watertown, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Gabrielle Fontanella, Jordan Erb and Colton Erb; and two sisters, Jane Young, of Payette, Ind., and Linda Bowen, of Prescott, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by one son, Steven E. Erb, and one brother, Terry L. Byers.
Friends and relatives will be received from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Montandon Baptist Church, 257 Main St., Montandon, where the funeral will be conducted at 6 with the Rev. Thomas Marker officiating.
Burial will be at the family’s convenience.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, or to Montandon Baptist Church, P.O. Box 110, Montandon, PA 17850.
Arrangements are under the care of the Shaw Funeral Home, Milton.
