FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP — M. James Rupp, 77, a longtime Franklin Township resident, passed away on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at his daughters home in Rawlins, Wyo.
He was born Oct. 25, 1935, in Catawissa, a son of the late Marvin D. and Amy G. (Hinkle) Rupp. He was married to the former Delores Snyder who preceded him in death in 1996 ending a marital union of 43 years.
James had been employed by National Gypsum Co., Region Oil, and a steel company as a truck driver
He enjoyed baseball and football. James had strong convictions and was a very family oriented man.
He is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Deb and Fred Clark, of Remsen, N.Y., Susan and Bruce Krebs, of Danville, Cindy and Scott Lose and Lisa Marie Reedy, all of Rawlins, Wyo.; six grandchildren, Missie and Rich Edmunds, Tara Salazar, Joe Clark, and James and BriAnna Reedy; three great-grandchildren, Mick Pollock, Dominic Salazar, and Alyssa Ditton; one brother, Bob Rupp, of Bloomsburg; one sister, Kay Gair, of Williamsport; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews,
He was preceded in death by one sister, Jackie Walter.
A visitation for friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa, where the funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Chad Carter, officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Paxinos.
