DANVILLE — Ann M. Egger-Drane, 92, formerly of East Stroudsburg, died Friday morning, Nov. 23, 2012, at the Emmanuel Center at Maria Joseph Center, Danville.
Born on Nov. 3, 1920, in Bayonne, N.J., she was the daughter of the late George and Theresa (Smith) Smith and lived in Monroe County from 1968 until 2005 when she moved to the Meadows at Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community in Danville.
She worked as a secretary at St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg with Msgr. Thomas Cawley for more than 25 years. She was an active member of the church and belonged to its Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Drane; one daughter, Marianne Courtright, of Bath; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one cousin, Caroline Weidner, of Lackawaxan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Joseph Cusack and Adolf Egger, and one daughter, Regina Bowers.
There will be no viewing. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, 200 Brodhead Ave., East Stroudsburg.
Burial will follow in Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
Private cremation took place at the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
