MUNCY — B. Marie Fowler, 85, of Lime Bluff Road, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Turbotville, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel (Milheim) Cotner. On Nov. 23, 1984, she married Harold L. Fowler and they would have celebrated 28 years of marriage.
Marie was the eldest of four children, a waitress and a cook in her mother’s restaurant, Mom’s Lunch, Muncy and at several other local establishments. She was a former employee at the Sylvania plant, Muncy, a local in-home caregiver for many years and retired as a homemaker.
Marie enjoyed dancing with her friends, especially polka and square dancing and enjoyed music and followed many of the local bands. She also enjoyed visiting with family and grandchildren and attending her grandson’s sporting events.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Daryl “Butch” and Deb Edwards, of Lyndon, Kan.; one daughter and son-in-law, Charlene M. and Joseph Zellers, of Muncy; one stepdaughter Becky Shoemaker and husband, David, of Hughesville; two sisters, Dorothy (Bohdan) Chreptowskyj, of Sun City Center, Fla., and Helen (George) Martin, of Sharpsburg, Ga.; one sister-in-law, Kay Cotner, of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Dana Edwards, Rochelle (Edwards) Hobbs, Zachary Zellers, Caitlyn and Alex Shoemaker; and five great-grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Cotner; one grandson, Rodney Edwards; and one great-grandson, Kaleb Hobbs.
Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville where the funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Elder Dwight D. Shoemaker, of the Muncy Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, officiating.
Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.
