RIVERSIDE — Marlin D. “Mike” Foye, 81, of Avenue A, passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at his home.
He was born Oct. 5, 1931, in Augustaville, a son of the late Peter and Marguerite (Long).
Mr. Foye proudly served in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He later worked at TRW as a quality engineer for many years, retiring in 1991.
Mike was an avid hunter and golfer and loved all things NASCAR.
He was a member of the American Legion, the Moose, Elks, Eagles, East End Fire Company and Liberty Valley Fire Company and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was the co-founder of the Central Susquehanna Community Federal Credit Union.
He is survived by his beloved companion of 26 years, Carolyn Keiser; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bruce Foye, of Sunbury, and Daniel and Mindy Fasold, of Florida; two daughters and one son-in-law, Belinda Cherry, of Spring Grove, and Beth and Mike Heller, of Milton; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Norma Foye, of York; and one brother-in-law, Martin Bennick, of York.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Leon Foye, Harold Foye and Ray Foye; one sister, Lois Bennick; and one great-grandson, Jayden.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St., Danville, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Donald Ely, retired, officiating.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
The family will provide flowers.
