DANVILLE —Catherine E. Heath, 90, of 43 Murphy Road, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at her home.
She was born in Trevorton on March 29, 1922, the daughter of the late George and Minnie (Shadle) Sherman. She married Clair W. Heath on Dec. 20, 1943.
She was a member of Klinesgrove United Methodist Church.
Catherine enjoyed baking, tending her flower garden, crocheting and doing embroidery.
After her husband’s retirement, they enjoyed camping and traveling. They visited all but four of the states in the continental United States.
She was a member of the Trailblazer Camping Club.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three children and their spouses, George W. and Cindy Heath, of Elysburg, Jane I. and Millard Watson, of Turbotville, and Clair R. and Donna Heath, of Danville; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Todd and Karen Heath, of Shamokin, Troy and Lori Heath, of Elysburg, Levi Watson, of Turbotville, Katelyn Watson, of Turbotville, Jared Watson, of Turbotville, Russell Heath, of Danville, and Ericka Heath, of Danville; one stepgrandchild, Amanda Griffin and husband John, of Elysburg; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and William Sherman.
Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 2.
Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SUN Home Hospice, 61 Duke St., Northumberland, PA 17801, or to Klinesgrove United Methodist Church, Church Road, Sunbury, PA 17801.
