SELINSGROVE — Jean F. Leach, 90, of North Ninth Street, passed away at 4:58 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Sunbury Community Hospital.
She had lived at Nottingham Village for the past year.
She was born May 27, 1922, in Binghamton, N.Y., a daughter of the late Philip B. and Marie C. (Koppenhaver) Clements. She was married to Donald R. Leach who preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 2000.
Jean was a 1941 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.
She had been employed in food service at the Selinsgrove Elementary School.
She was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove where she had served in the Altar Guild and as a greeter, and along with her husband, she had done custodial work at the church.
Jean enjoyed shopping and dining out with her family. The great joy of her life was her grandsons.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marcia J. and Tim Romig, of Selinsgrove; one son, Richard A. Leach, of Selinsgrove; two grandsons, Justin Eric and Jeremy Lee Romig; one sister, Betty A. Dyer, of Bethlehem; and one niece, Deborah S. Dyer, of Bethlehem.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sharon Lutheran Church, 120 S. Market St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 2 with the Rev. Robert P. Doll officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
Contributions in Jean’s memory may be made to Sharon Lutheran Church.
Funeral arrangements are by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
