Florence A. Stamm, 92, Watsontown

WATSONTOWN — Florence A. Stamm, 92, of Millheim Road, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012. She had been living at Kramm Healthcare Center, Milton, since June.

She was born March 16, 1920, in Limestone Township, Montour County, a daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Heddings) Manning. She was married to Fred S. Stamm for 59 years before his death on April 28, 2000.

A homemaker all her married life, she and her husband farmed in rural Turbotville for many years.

She was a member of Pleasant View Wesleyan Church, Muncy, for more than 25 years.

Florence enjoyed cooking and baking and loved her Yorkshire terrier, Sadie.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Homer F. Stamm and Earl N. and Helen Stamm, all of rural Watsontown; two grandchildren, Chad Stamm and Brenda (Scott) Bowman; and three great-grandchildren, Colby M., Riley M. and Taryn J. Stamm.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was a sister, Betty Manning, who died in childhood.

Friends are invited to call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, where the funeral will be conducted at 1:30 with the Rev. Stephen R. Smith, her pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Milton.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in her memory be made to Pleasant View Wesleyan Church, 994 E. Penn St., Muncy, PA 17756.
