ALLENWOOD — Carrie K. Smith, 94, of Allenwood, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, after a short stay at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

She made afghans for nearly every member of the family.

Smith and his wife, Marlene, of Allenwood; one brother, Clyde Long and his wife, Kay, of Northumberland; and four grandchildren, Gary Smith and wife Cathy, of Mifflinburg, Cynthia Bargerstock and husband Jeffrey, of Massillon, Ohio., Richard Smith, of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Alexia Smith, of Allenwood. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren, Katrina Yoder and husband Mike, of Dryden, Ohio, Alyssa Wengerd and husband Curtis, of Monetta, S.C., Justin and Heather Smith, of Mifflinburg, and Rachelle Strayer and husband Michael and Alexander and Janelle Bargerstock, all of Massillon, Ohio; and six great-great-grandchildren, Andre, Kristin and Kylie Yoder, of Dryden, Ohio, and Carter, Brooklyn and Jamison Wengerd, of Monetta, S.C.

Carrie was preceded in death by siblings Sara Sweigart, Marie Brubaker, Grace Long and Myles, Glenn and John Long.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Roupp Funeral Home, 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor Matt Ellison and Steve Miller officiating.
