RIVERSIDE — Charles I. Stahl, 91, of D&H Avenue, passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at his daughter’s home.
He was born April 21, 1921, in Mooresburg, a son of the late Edward and Helen (Trutt) Stahl.
Charles proudly served in the Army and was a veteran of World War II.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and was last employed by the International Salt Co. Charles was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 40.
In his free time, he loved gardening and was always remodeling some part of his home.
On May 19, 1968, he married the former Betty Hendricks, and together, they raised their daughter, Beth.
He is also survived by one son-in-law, Beth and Scott Williams, of Halifax; one stepson, James Reichley, of Florida; three stepdaughters, Joan Klinger, of Shamokin, Judy and her husband, Joseph Helcoski, of Moosic, and Jean and her husband, Rich Knouse, of Danville; one granddaughter, Emily; several stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St., Danville, followed by the funeral at 11 with the retired Rev. Edmund Minnich officiating.
Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville.
