SUNBURY — Betty Jane Drumm, 91, of Sunbury, passed away on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, in Kramm Healthcare, Milton.
She was born June 14, 1921, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Albertson) Lydic. She was married to Robert H. Drumm, who preceded her in death in 2010.
Betty formerly was employed as a licensed practical nurse in private duty and at Sunbury Community Hospital.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Sunbury, and a former member of the Shikellamy school board.
Betty enjoyed walking and quilting and was involved in local and state politics.
She is survived by four children, Robert A. Drumm, of Lock Haven, Susan K. Gnade, of Danville, William C. Drumm, of Santa Fe, N.M., and Jerry L. Drumm, of Hunlock Creek; six grandchildren, Dustin Drumm, Chris Drumm, Chase Gnade, Jenna Drumm, Duska Rishel and Kirby Drumm; three great-grandchildren, Riley, Jake and Hudson; and three sisters, Amber Young, of Florida, Ruth Sheets, of Milton, and Katherine Miller, of Reading.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Turner, Robert, George and William, and two sisters, Sara Sydorck and Gertrude Hepner.
A private memorial service is planned with a later interment in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
