George A. John Jr., 85, Shamokin

SHAMOKIN — George A. John Jr., 85, of 172 John Road, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, in Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

He was married to the former Joy Boyer, who survives.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Shamokin.

In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s memory may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 146, Shamokin, PA 17872.

Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
