Frieda S. Brubacker, 51, Mount Pleasant Mills

MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS — Frieda S. Brubacker, 51, of Orchard Hill Road, died on Monday, March 4, 2013, at her home.

She was born Aug. 23, 1961, in Ephrata, a daughter of the late Rufus S. and Rachel (Stauffer) Brubacker.

Frieda was employed with Whispering Pines Fruit Farm and was a member of Stauffer’s Old Order Mennonite Church at Riverview, Liverpool.

She is survived by her stepmother, Mary S. Brubacker, of Mount Pleasant Mills, with whom she lived; two brothers, Roy Brubacker and wife Karen, of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Karl Brubacker and wife Eva, of Rich Hill, Mo.; three sisters, Dorcas, wife of Timothy Stauffer, of Homer City, Caroline Brubacker and Rachel, wife of Paul Auker, all of Mount Pleasant Mills ; and many nieces and nephews.

Frieda was preceded by three sisters, Marie Showalter, Grace Stauffer and Rebecca Auker.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Peaceful Sleeper Mattresses, 59 Woodthrush Lane and Orchard Hill Road, Mount Pleasant Mills. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday in Peaceful Sleeper Mattresses with further services at 10 a.m. in Stauffer’s Old Order Mennonite Church, Produce Road, Port Trevorton.

Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
