SPRING MILLS — Guy E. Zerby, 80, of Spring Mills, passed from this life on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013.
He was born Feb. 9, 1933, in Bellefonte, a son of the late Samuel and Viola (Moser) Zerby. On May 23, 1974, Guy married Mabel S. Showver in Arizona. Mabel preceded Guy in death on Jan. 26, 2013, less than one month ago.
He was a 1951 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School.
Guy owned and operated Guy Zerby Motorcycle Sales in Spring Mills for 55 years.
He was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ in Spring Mills.
Guy and Mable enjoyed traveling around the country, with two of their favorite destinations being Arizona and Daytona Bike Week in Florida.
Guy is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra K. and David Stauffer and Beth J. and Donald Manley, both of Mifflinburg; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Regina Kreps, of Spring Mills; six grandchildren, Tom Stauffer (Ellen), Andrew Stauffer (Terri), Jason Manley (Erin), Abby Manley, Kyle Kreps (Maria) and Justin Kreps (Christa); and nine great-grandchildren.
Guy is the last of his immediate family and was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Salem United Church of Christ, Route 45, Spring Mills, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Leigh Pick officiating.
Guy will be laid to rest in Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery.
