Etheleen B. Burkey, 88, Selinsgrove

SELINSGROVE — Etheleen B. (Leffler) Burkey, 88, of Route 204, formerly of Berrysburg, passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at the Manor of Penn Village.

She was born Aug. 29, 1924, in Gratz, a daughter of the late Lincoln O. and Ellen M. (Bahner) Leffler. She was married to Clarence L. Burkey, who preceded her in death.

Etheleen was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Urban.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen Goodlin, of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Elsie M. Wagner, of Mount Pleasant Mills; two brothers, Guy Leffer, of Urban, and Paul Leffler, of Gratz; four sisters, Betty Keiter, of Dauphin, Jean Klinger, of Elizabethville, Janet Heberling, of Pine Grove, and Bonnie Kuhn, of Halifax; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth A Furman; three sisters, Margaret Holzman, June Maurer and Carol Weaver; and one brother, Raymond Leffler.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes Inc., Elizabethville, followed by the funeral at 11.

Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Urban.
