Linda D. Arnold, 62, Elizabethville

ELIZABETHVILLE — Linda D. Arnold, 62, of Elizabethville and formerly of West Cameron, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Sun Home Hospice Care Center Sunbury. She was in ailing health for the past year.

She was born in Shamokin on Nov. 18, 1950, a daughter of the late Woodrow F. and Ida E. (Swank) Long.

Linda attended West Cameron and Trevorton schools.

She worked at the former Clarks Poultry Plant, Irish Valley, and later was a homemaker.

She attended Millersburg Assembly of God Church.

Linda enjoyed crocheting.

Surviving are one son, George E. Arnold and his companion Michelle McCarthy, of Elizabethville; one daughter and son-in-law, Marlene Bennett and husband Jody, of Pen Argyl; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her companion, Scott M. Blain; one brother, Woodrow F. Long Jr. and wife Debbie, of Berrysburg; one sister, Carol Rebuck, of RR Shamokin; her sister-in-law, Brenda Long, of West Cameron, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by one daughter, Carol Arnold Herman, and one brother, Robert F. Long Sr.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, followed by a memorial service at noon with Sun Home Hospice Chaplain James R. Taylor officiating.

Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
